The current leaf area allometric was found to be sufficiently efficient (percent error ı 5). A new leaf biomass allometric model, based on leaf area and rachis volume, is proposed and is shown to be more efficient (percent error ı 8.5) than the previous one (percent error ı 12). A palm heart fresh weight allometric model, based upon stem diameter and leaf biomass, is presented but is not yet efficient enough for use (r2 = 0.83; percent error ı 20).
