The following P fertilizers were evaluated with and without limings: triple superphosphate, yoorin thermophosphate, bone meals, rock phosphates from Gafsa, Patos de Minas, Marrocos, Araxá, Alvorada, Flórida and mixture of triple superphosphate with Gafsa rock phosphate at different ratios. The results indicated that direct application of rock phosphate to acid soils offers a promising low cost alternative for supplying P to the growth of cacao seedlings. Thermophosphate and Gafsa rock phosphate performed similar to triple superphosphate. The mixture of triple superphosphate with Gafsa rock phosphate also showed a high performance. Liming increase biomass production of cacao and improved the agronomic effectiveness of all sources of P
